Dr. Kyle Reed (Co-PI) is an Associate Research Staff Member at Oak Ridge National Lab participating in harsh environment electronics design, power electronics design, in situ sensing systems, and low-power low-signal data acquisition systems. He received his PhD in Engineering from Tennessee Technological University in 2022 with focus in radiation-hardened electronics circuit and sensor design. He received his MS (2017) and BS (2014) in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University. Dr. Reed is presently contributing to two Advanced Sensors and Instrumentation projects developing radiation-hardened electronics for digitization and optical and wireless links. He heavily contributed to a FY17-19 NEET project (NEET 16-10884, FY17-FY19) in which he designed radiation-hardened electronics for a wireless through-wall sensor and communication circuit using commercial of the shelf silicon JFETs. His research interests include harsh environment electronics, communications systems, machine learning, edge computing, and software defined radio.
