NSUF Welcomes New Director

Brenden Heidrich has been appointed director for the NSUF. For the last eight years, he has worked with the NSUF as the chief irradiation scientist. "Working at Idaho National Laboratory and leading the NSUF is the pinnacle of my career," said Brenden. "I want to help ensure that everyone has that same chance to make a positive impact on our nation’s energy future."

RTE Proposals Awarded, New Call Opens

New Rapid Turnaround Experiment (RTE) projects, totaling approximately $1.42M, have been awarded to support the advancement of nuclear science and technology. View the full list here.

Another Rapid Turnaround Experiment call is now open! There have been some small changes in the RTE application instructions and guidelines. Please review all instructions prior to submitting a new proposal.

From the Executive Committee

Join the Users Organization Executive Committee in San Diego, California on March 23 for the 2023 Annual Users Organization Meeting!

This in-person meeting will be held on the last day of the TMS Annual Meeting and Exposition. RSVP here to learn about new NSUF capabilities, participate in workshops, and learn about awarded projects. Hybrid participation will be possible. 

Users will also have the chance to be voted into the Executive Committee. Nominations (including self-nominations) are due by Feb. 28, 2023. Please email nominations to nsuf-users@inl.gov.

Note: Attendance for the Users Organization Meeting does not require registration for TMS.
