### NSUF Users Organization
Hello NSUF users and interested parties,
Welcome to the new year and with it, a new NSUF Users Organization leadership team. I am Stephen Taller from Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and I am serving as the NSUF Users Organization chair for fiscal years 2026 and 2027. My executive team consists of Ram Prabhakaran from Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as Vice Chair, Yong Yang from the University of Florida as Secretary, and Maria Okuniewski from Purdue University as the Chair Ex-Officio. Maria has done a phenomenal job in the role of chair over the last two years, and I'm glad I was able to learn from her leadership. I hope our team can elevate the NSUF user experience through our efforts.
One of the major initiatives we have as the Users Organization is to establish a consistent mode of communication between the leadership team and users. We created a new email mailing list to distribute information about user organized meetings, updates from the NSUF UO Executive Committee, facilitate feedback from users, and other topics relevant to the NSUF Users Organization. This is a separate list from the mailing for the NSUF program list and requires people to opt-in to receive messages. #### About the NSUF Users Organization
The NSUF Users Organization aims to:
- Provide a formal and clear channel for the exchange of information and advice between the investigators who perform reactor-based nuclear technology experiments and the NSUF management.
- Serve as an advocacy group for the experimental activities at the NSUF.
- Provide a communication channel among users of the NSUF.
- Educate the public and decision-makers on the benefits of the use of nuclear energy for energy generation.
**Membership in the organization is open to all users and potential users of the various NSUF facilities and scientists and engineers engaged in the operation and development of these facilities.
