- Biography
I am a 2nd year Nuclear Engineering PhD student at Oregon State University studying fission gas release behavior from surrogate UO2 and Cr2O3 doped UO2 fuel. My master's degree in Nuclear Engineering focused on examining the physical similitude of fission gas release behavior for a full scale and half radius rodlet using Idaho National Laboratory's fuel performance code BISON. My research interest is to accelerate the fuel qualification process through accelerated fuels testing, using surrogate materials, and modeling. I use scaling techniques and physical relationships to evaluate the applicability of the results from these accelerated fuel qualification tests to real fuel behavior.
