Biography

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2021 from Washington State University (WSU) (Go Cougs!). During this time, I was president of the WSU 3D Printing Club and participated in undergraduate research where I performed flowrate and rheometry testing on silicone inks for additive manufacturing applications. After graduating from WSU, I received an internship at Idaho National Laboratory (INL) where I worked with synthesizing nanoparticles and DLP printing of ceramic inks. I also first authored and published my first conference paper on nanoparticle synthesis during this internship which went on to win the Energy Best Paper - Student award (more information can be found in my resume). This internship was extended to 6 months, after which I decided to pursue my PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at Boise State University. For 2 years I worked in Dr. Zhangxian Deng's Smart Materials and Systems Laboratory synthesizing and printing magnetostrictive inks for sensors used in nuclear applications. I first authored and published my first conference paper on my PhD research during this time. After those 2 years I received the INL Graduate Fellowship where I have continued my sensor development research.
