Biography

Kelley is a current Ph.D. student at the University of Idaho - Idaho Falls in Nuclear Engineering. Her research focus is on the microstructural behavior of U-Mo alloy fuels. She completed in her M.S. in Biological Engineering from the University of Idaho with a thesis focusing on nuclear hybrid energy systems in 2017. The thesis was titled "Energy Conversion Loop: A Testbed for Nuclear Hybrid Energy Systems use in Biomass Pyrolysis". She completed her B.S. in Biological and Agricultural Engineering in 2015, also at the University of Idaho.

The Nuclear Science User Facilities (NSUF) is the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Energy's only designated nuclear energy user facility. Through peer-reviewed proposal processes, the NSUF provides researchers access to neutron, ion, and gamma irradiations, post-irradiation examination and beamline capabilities at Idaho National Laboratory and a diverse mix of university, national laboratory and industry partner institutions.
