Users Organization Annual Meeting

The NSUF Annual Users’ Meeting will be Thursday, March 27, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PT at the MGM Grand Las Vegas Hotel in Room 152. The meeting will be co-located with The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society 2025 Annual Meeting and Exhibition. The event will also feature virtual attendance.

Existing and future users are invited to attend this hybrid event to learn about upcoming NSUF program developments and scientific endeavors enabled by NSUF and shared from the user perspective.

Executive committee open nominations:

The NSUF Users Organization Executive Committee is seeking nominees for two positions (starting Oct. 1, 2025). Self-nominations must be sent to Ramprashad Prabhakaran ([email protected]) by March 27, 2025. Nominations should include a photo, organization name, position, and 2-3 sentences about you and why you would like to serve on the Users Organization Executive Committee.

A vote will be held during the meeting. Open positions include:

Secretary: Eight year-term - the first two years as a Secretary, transitions to Vice-Chair (two years), then Chair (two years) and finally as a Chair Ex-Officio (final two years).
Emerging professional member: (graduate student or postdoctoral fellow) for a two-year term.

About the NSUF Users Organization

The NSUF Users Organization aims to:

Provide a formal and clear channel for the exchange of information and advice between the investigators who perform reactor-based nuclear technology experiments and the NSUF management.
Serve as an advocacy group for the experimental activities at the NSUF.
Provide a communication channel among users of the NSUF.
Educate the public and decision-makers on the benefits of the use of nuclear energy for energy generation.

Membership in the organization is open to all users and potential users of the various NSUF facilities and scientists and engineers engaged in the operation and development of these facilities. Potential members can join by self-nomination.
