RAPID TURNAROUND EXPERIMENT PROPOSALS AWARDED


22 new Rapid Turnaround Experiment (RTE) projects, totaling approximately $1.6M, have been awarded. These awards went to 14 principal investigators from universities, 7 from national laboratories and one from industry.


PUBLICATION HIGHLIGHT: NSUF WORK PUBLISHED IN MATERIALS


Idaho National Laboratory researcher and NSUF user Donna Guillen has recently published a paper in the Special Issue of Materials: Advanced Characterization Techniques on Nuclear Fuels and Materials.

The paper is titled Thermomechanical Properties of Neutron Irradiated Al3Hf-Al Thermal Neutron Absorber Materials.

CALL FOR PAPERS: ANS ANNUAL MEETING

American Nuclear Society Winter Meeting and Nuclear Technology Expo logo

The call for papers for the American Nuclear Society Annual Meeting has opened. Please submit summaries describing work that is new, significant and relevant to the nuclear industry. The NSUF is hosting session 9k in Materials Science and Technology.  

The deadline for submission is Friday, February 2, 2024.

CAES SEMINAR: ATOM PROBE TOMOGRAPHY


Come see what atom probe tomography (APT) techniques are available to you through the Center for Advanced Energy Studies and Idaho National Laboratory. Rober Ulfig with CAMECA will give a seminar at CAES on Oct. 4 at 3 p.m. Mountain Time. Ulfig's presentation will introduce CAMECA SIMS/EPMA and APT products and review the cutting-edge technology, applications and typical 3D nanoscale data analysis techniques. CAES has a CAMECA LEAP 4000 and MFC has a CAMECA LEAP 5000 available for research projects.
