DOE Seeking Information on FY 2018 R&D and Infrastructure Focus Areas

DOE is seeking information, comments, feedback, and recommendations from interested parties for future work scope areas for the major NE-funded research programs in four R&D areas.

DOE is seeking information, comments, feedback, and recommendations from interested parties for future work scope areas for the major NE-funded research programs in the following R&D areas:

  1. Fuel Cycle Research and Development (FC R&D) Program
  2. Reactor Concepts Research, Development, and Demonstration (RC RD&D) Program
  3. Nuclear Energy Advanced Modeling and Simulation (NEAMS) Program
  4. Nuclear Enabling Technologies (NEET) Crosscutting Technology Development (CTD)

DOE is also seeking information, comments, feedback, and recommendations from interested parties to determine what capabilities that support research, training and technology demonstration, are of high interest to the nuclear research community. In addition to receiving feedback on the aforementioned capabilities, DOE seeks input on other high priority nuclear energy-related infrastructure needs, including information on the potential benefit, location, funding model, and feasibility of establishing, maintaining, and operating such facilities.

Responses must be received by Saturday, May 13, 2017, to be considered for FY 2018 workscopes.
